Meet Eli!

Eli can’t help but bring a smile to everyones face he meets! I loved getting to know his shyness at first, but then little by little his adorable personality began to peek through which in-turn brought even a bigger smile to my face! I am so happy that I got to meet Eli and now it is your turn!!!

How did you feel when you were diagnosed?

Of course Eli was to young to understand. He has adjusted to this life as if it was always his normal. He doesn’t know his life any other way.

What do you like to do for fun? Play soccer, Nintendo, play with cousins and riding bikes.

How did you find out that you were diabetic?

We called the Dr because we knew something wasn’t right. A simple dr visit quickly turned to a frantic trip to the hospital. I was alone at this visit with Eli. It was a period of shock after the dr said "he definitely has diabetes. There is no question. You need to pack a hospital bag and go to primary children's ER."

It isn’t Easy. But it becomes part of who you are and make the best of a cruddy situation.
