Meet Reese!

Reese was such a joy to have in the studio! Today is her 3 year Diaversary!! She is so full of spunk and her energetic personality is contagious! I am so excited I got to meet her and that you get to know a little bit more about her! She is such a gem!

How old are you? 9

How old were you when you were diagnosed with T1D? 6

What is your favorite subject in school? Science

How did you feel when you were diagnosed? I felt scared, sick and like it was unfair.

What do you like to do for fun? I like to talk, hang out with my friends, go camping ,craft, dance and sing.

How did you find out that you were diabetic?

I was really tired and thirsty and didn’t  feel like myself. My mom took me to the doctor and they rushed me to the hospital. They told me there that I had type 1 diabetes.

Do you like being diabetic? No, not really.

What is cool about being diabetic? I have been able to meet new friends and go to fun events.

What is the worst thing about being diabetic?

The shots!  And having to always worry about my blood sugar.

What is your favorite food? Pad Thai and crab legs!!

What is your favorite movie?

Decendents 1,2 and 3!  I also enjoy High School Musical and The Greatest Showman!!

Where is your favorite restaurant? Red Basil

Where is your favorite place to vacation?

Mexico and California!  I also like visiting my grandparents in Mesquite!

If you could have 3 wishes granted, what would they be?

1. A cure for T1D
2. A cure for Celiac Disease
3. A million dollars

Who is your favorite tv/book/story character and what do you like about him/her?

Dove Cameron.  She play Mal is Desendance.  I like her Because she is strong, brave,  fights for what’s right and is a good friend.

If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be? Koala.  They are so cute!

If you could wake up with a superpower, what would it be?

Read people’s minds so I know what people are thinking!

What would you like others to know about being a diabetic?

You can’t catch it from me. It is a autoimmune disease and it sucks! But, I can do hard things and I am going to be okay!!
